La Minute Builder #13 — Women in tech: visibility

La Minute Builder — directory of women in tech who take the stage
« We couldn't find any woman to speak on this topic... »

I'm delighted to join the directory "Les femmes qui font la tech et qui montent sur scène", a great initiative led by Juliette Delas.

In France, women represent only 24% of digital professionals.

And yet, we still hear far too often:

We couldn't find any woman to speak on this topic...

The issue isn't a lack of talent — it's visibility

The problem may never have been a lack of talent.

But their visibility.

When you need a speaker for a conference, a panel or a tech event, the same profiles often come up again and again.

Yet this directory shows that there are experts across many fields:

  • Development & Engineering
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Cybersecurity
  • Product Management
  • Cloud
  • Data & Analytics
  • Digital accessibility
  • Entrepreneurship… and many more

I'm glad to be listed there in the Development & Engineering and Product & Marketing categories, as a Product Engineer & Product Builder.

Diversity isn't about filling a quota

For me, diversity in tech is not about filling a quota.

The talent already exists. Making it visible is likely one of the best ways to move our ecosystem forward.

Thank you Juliette Delas for this trust, and above all for this initiative that helps give more visibility to women in tech.
