Why some tech teams ship 10 times faster — clarity, priorities and less wasted time
« Why do some tech teams ship 10 times faster? »

We often assume they have:

  • Better developers
  • More budget
  • More AI
  • More resources

But fast teams don't necessarily code 10 times faster.

They mainly waste far less time.

They have understood six things:

1. Build less

Before developing 15 features, they identify the one that actually creates value.

2. Decide faster

An hour of development should not wait two weeks for approval.

3. Keep the architecture simple

Fewer dependencies, clear responsibilities and reusable components make every change safer.

4. Automate what can be automated

Tests, deployments, checks and pipelines: fewer manual steps, fewer errors.

5. Have Product, Design and Tech work together

Decisions made collectively from the start avoid long back-and-forth later.

6. Talk to users

Three days to validate a hypothesis cost less than three months building a feature nobody needs.

What fast teams actually have

The fastest teams are therefore not always the most technically brilliant.

They mainly have:

  • A clear target
  • Clear priorities
  • A mastered architecture
  • Little waiting time
  • Strong autonomy

The real question may not be:

« How do we ship 10 times faster? »

But rather:

« How do we ship 10 times more value without creating 10 times more complexity? »

Because speed is not only a matter of code.

It is first a matter of clarity.
